Aubrey Graham is a Thoroughbred trainer, Eventer and Anthropologist based in Lansing, New York. She left academia in 2019 to pursue training full time and has since run Kivu Sporthorses & Training, LLC, a Thoroughbred-forward training center and sales program where she focuses on restarting horses off the track and retraining those further along in their careers. Aubrey has evented through Preliminary, regularly brings a string of young TBs along through the lower levels, coaches a small eventing team, is a Ride IQ coach, and writes the weekly “Thoroughbred Logic” articles for Horse Nation (and is working on a book with the same premise). In 2023, she opened “Thoroughbred School,” an in-house and virtual program that helps train students how to ride and handle Thoroughbreds and extends that training through on-site and off-site Thoroughbred Logic Clinics. Aubrey has competed in the Retired Racehorse Project’s Makeover since 2018 (in Eventing, Show Jumpers, Field Hunters and Dressage).

Horse(s): Legs (JC: Pederson’s Courage)
Discipline: Dressage, Jumpers, & Foxhunting
A Michigan native, Kat grew up riding in Metamora Hunt Country, usually on the back of a Thoroughbred or a rotten pony. As an adult, things haven’t changed much and you’ll still find Kat on the back of a Thoroughbred or rotten pony. She has been part of the horse industry professionally since she was 15 years old and as most professionals do, she has found herself wearing many hats throughout the years in an effort to support her horses. Her experiences as an exercise rider, barn manager, FEI groom, whipper-in, bodyworker, and rehabber have lead her to current roles as owner of Yellow Horse Performance as coach of the Woodbine chapter of the United States Pony Club. Kat and Aubrey hit it off at a TB Logic clinic years ago which resulted in Yellow Horse Performance sponsoring Aubrey and providing bodywork to all of the horses in Aubrey’s care while Kivu was still based in Georgia. Kat brings not only a wealth of horse knowledge and experience to the table for Stall 13 but she also comes with non-profit and fundraising experience in animal welfare, land conservation, disaster relief, and other humanitarian efforts. When she’s not in the barn or off trying to save the world, you can find Kat in the garden with her chickens or off the grid somewhere with her husband and dog.'
